We live in the most beautiful City. From our historic entrances, to our great neighborhood parks, to our lush tree lined streets, and the incredible people that make up this community, Coral Gables has always been an oasis in Miami-Dade County.

Hello, my name is Ariel Fernandez. Many of you know me as Gables Insider. I have been the one informing you about what has been taking place in Coral Gables.

Together, we have shed light on numerous issues at City Hall, including the disappointing difference between the treatment of residents and that of developers in the City of Coral Gables.

We love our City and would not live anywhere else, but there are things we can do to improve it. To accomplish that, residents need a stronger voice on the City Commission. One that will ensure that the City remains focused on transparency and that we, the residents, are the priority.

That is why, with the support of my family, I have officially filed to run for the Coral Gables City Commission in the April 2023 election.

The months ahead will undoubtedly be filled with political attacks against me, my person and my integrity. And they will all be financed by special interests. We already see a candidate being run with the support of a bevy of current and former elected officials, who speak for special interests and fear transparency and a strong voice representing us on the Commission.

I am ready to be that voice!

It is time for us to take a stand together to preserve the Coral Gables we all love.

I ask you stand with me, as I have stood with you. No matter who decides to run or what they tell us, let’s remain united, in order to protect our interests and our City Beautiful. Let’s unite as residents and send a clear message.
